Trans Kalahari Accommodation
 

Hi

I'm looking for suggestions for accommodation along the A2 Trans Kalahari road in Botswana. Her indoors (riding pillion) doesn't like massive mileage days, so we are looking to split the journey from Jo'burg (arriving early from LHR) to the Okavango (Maun probably) into three, with the first leg hopefully getting us through the border (Zeerust-Lobatse?) and on our way.

Need lodges or similar- not camping or 5 star sillyness as the stops will just be overnighters.

WTF is going on at Audi Camp?

Back in the mid nineties when I 1st camped there, it had a reputation for campsite robberies, with a 8-10 foot fence around the place! Fast forward to the present, and it has gotten a bit violent at times. Audis is not the only one, just seems to be experiencing more then others. The Ngami Times online sometimes has an article about this stuff. There are other places to camp that have no issues.
