trip to stelvio
 

hi all,we're planning a trip down from calais to ride the stelvio pass and across to see the milau bridge,any route suggestions and overnight stays greatly appreciated,the trip will be for 10 days.cheers alan

Colmar area on France side, close to Schwarzwald is nice, also Schwarzwald on German side is worth to ride.

Then in Switzerland I would recommend Grimsel-, Susten-, Oberalp and Novena pass (These passes can be found east from Martigny). Old St Gottard pass is also worth to ride (new pass is really boring).

While getting closer to Stelvio, you could also ride over Julierpass before going to taxfree town called Livigno in Italy.

If you go all the way to Dolomites, then you can reach really a paradise, just look at the roads around Cortina d`Ampezzo. From Cortina you can quickly head to Lienz in Austria and ride over Großglockner.
