Tunisia vs. Morocco

Hello,

Planning a trip to north Africa but with limited time. The first chioce would be of course Morocco but that cost one week more. What is your opinion to take Tunisia instead to save time. I was there ealrier on holiday but just at sea with family. I know Morocco has Atlas which is far more spectacular but still it's worth to see Tunsisia mainland? Much less interesting? Differencies? Any idea welcome.

Regards

I agree with you; Morocco is more diverse but takes more time.
Tunisian inland is very interesting as well and worth of exploring! Specially with your own vehicle. Dunes are spectacular (but there are more regulations and restrictions on driving there since recently). I am sure you will not regret taking a trip around Tunisia. I loved it!!
google for more tips where to go (Chebika, Tamerza, Ksar Ghilane, ... )

There in not comparison between Tunisia and Morocco. Morocco is much more better than Tunisia.
If you have not enough time, go in Tunisia but from Tunis go directly in the south toward Douz, Ksar Ghilane, Es Sabria (beautifil fort of "legion etrangere française"), Matmata, Metameur, Tozeur, Mountain oasis (Chebika, Tamerza and Mides) and track of Rommel, Tableau of Jughurta and not much more places...
The "flat" desert you can see near Douz and Nefta....but the best desert with big dunes, near El Borma, you can see only with special autorization you can obtain in "Gouvernorat of Tataouine".
You need special authorization generally for all track to south Ksar Ghilane / Remada.

I agree with Touaregsr. Tunisia is very nice, but no contest when compared to Morocco. I do not know the starting point of your trip, but in my opinion Morocco is worth travelling a couple more days to get there.
Take a longer holiday :)

Thanks guys for the suggestions. Short term I try Tunesia and for sure Morocco the final target. Maybe I will come back with some questions later if the base route planned.

Hello!
Excuse the spelling mistakes, do not write English correctly.
Tunisia and Morocco are two countries to travel extraordinary bike, I leave a couple of links, one from each country.
They are written in Castilian, I leave you with the translation into English.
Bon voyage!
