uk to italy around a bit then back through germany switzerla
 

hi there, am taking the bik ( yamaha diversion for a tour through europe) going from the uk through france to italy, down and aroun ditaly and back through austria, germany etc. possible a quick venture into slovenia and croatia. am doing this the month of april

any tips, places to go , places to stay would be greatly appreciated.

also does anyone know if i can drive through the mountain passes at this time of year ( down through france at begining of april)

Most of the high passes will be closed. The Sea Alps nearer the coast should be good, but avoid the coast. Also check out Gorges du Tarn, Ardeche and Gorges du Verdon.

why no coast?
 

Just wondering why you suggested that he stay away from the coast of France. I was planning on going there myself in May.
