UK-Sierra Leone
Doing a ride down to Sierra Leone via Morocco, Western Sahara, Senegal, Gambia and Guinea starting August on a 650 Transalp.
Does anybody know of any cheap decent places to stay (camping etc) in morocco or anywhere else for that matter? Or any excellent routes I can take for scenery (otbt)? I dont want to be on the main road the entire journey, tend to stay coastal until The Gambia, venture back into East Senegal and down into Koundara and Labe, finally entering Sierra Leone from Faranah in Guinea. If anyone knows of any must see areas and places of any of these countries, I would love to hear from them. Especially would love more info in the Koundara to Labe road. Doing a 2up tour. Any additional words of wisdom or advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Gavin |
Just on the way back from Sierra Leone. Koundara to Labe is pretty rough I heard, but didn't do it myself. Farannah into Sierra Leone is perfect piste to the border, but just before Kabala it get's very rocky, just take it easy. Also beware of the asfalt roads in Guinea, like up to Farannah, they are in horrible condition.
