UK to Rome
 

Hi, I have travelled from UK to Kos and back last year with CBR600 and this year with my current bike an RR2 Blade. I will be travelling from UK to Rome probably within the next 2 weeks and will go same route via Gottard Tunnel. I imagine the autoroutes are kept clear throughout the winter although expect they can get closed from time to time. Can I expect any ice on the roads?

I hope the heated Klan gloves do the trick, anyone used their socks or waistcoat?

Watched the news lately? Perhaps you have seen what winter can be like around here, even now. If temperatures have been below zero for some time you are probably safe. But when temperatures hover around zero and it rains and snows you will have to expect patches of black ice.

Go in july/august and see some of the swiss, french, italian and slovenian alps before hitting down south to rome through tuscany, and when coming back, take the provence as well. Blast!!!
