I live on a farm around 100 km north of Oslo, if you head this direction dont hestitate to tell. I have plenty of space for tenting and a pretty extensive farm garage (for fixing my XT 600)

Nah, hopefully he carried on over the top of Norway into Russia, went RTW and is now on his second of third lap :mchappy:.

On the subject of Norway my one bit of advice would be to fit new tyres. BMW in Narvik or Tromso (I forget which) carry a decent selection for idiots who forget that ice proof and gravel surfaces wear part worn tyres like crazy and so turnup with the cords showing, but I wouldn't reccomend this approach! :blushing:

Just to keep the information rolling - we did up to Nordkapp last year - Hutte are great for when the weather is foul.........generally the costs were about £40 per night (most would hold 4 people)

Cost to get onto Nordkapp - £20 and same to get back off - I'd recommend North Cape Cabins as a place to stay.

Other than that, other camp sites are here Untitled Document

My personal favourite was a small campsite near Utne - you could dip your toes into the fjord almost from the tent - and lean back to grab ripe cherries off the trees:D
