Vama Veche - Romania
 

In researching Romania we have come across this place. It looks fairly funky and we are thinking of popping by. It is famous for a festival and nudist beach, neither of which are the reason for us going - honest!

Anyhow, after about an hour long search on the web I can find very little information (in English), but was wondering if anyone has any experience of here?

Anywher else on the Black Sea worth a visit in Romania?

hi.

i travel through romania few times.
on the shore of black sea vama veche is IMO the best place to spend few days.
it's staying day by day more commercial but... if u're looking for "peace and cool" so this place will be great.

before vama veche (driving from N to S) are many nice places but ... strongly commercial and not so cheap as it looks at first time.

u can visit mamaia or constanca but nothing special. so many people and noise.

but if u re looking for lonley beach, where can u stay alone, u should go through bulgaria to the last village (behind) very close to turkey border... kilometers of sand and FEW people. (small shop on the village- thats all)
