Vietnam

I'm flying in to Ho Chi Minh on the 4th of April and I will need to fly out again from the same airport. My plan is to buy a cheap bike in HCM and then ride around for a couple of weeks.

What would be a good 2 week loop route from HCM? I'm open to any suggestions!

I wouldn't buy - far cheaper to rent at under $5 per day, and no problems trying to a). find a bike to buy; and b). find someone to sell it to.

In order to avoid rental issues, don't mention that you plan to ride outside of the city.

I would recommend the road to Dalat, and then across to Nha Trang (quite commercial though) not sure what sort of loop you could do as we carried on travelling up. Perhaps you could travel inland, or rent the bike one way to Hue and fly back down to SGN??

We bought a bike when we were there which was easy, the difficult part, like said above, is selling it!! Especially when you have to catch a flight home.

#1 Make sure your travel insurance knows your going to be riding a motorcycle!

This is definitely the easiest thing to do, although it could open you up to some problems if anything is to happen to you or the bike.
With bikes only being 200$ used both options are very affordable, but the legalitys of both are the harder part.

all things aside make sure your covered encase someone hits your worse.
