We need free accommodation on this route
Hello everyone,
We are doing a charity rally this July from Ireland to Mongolia. Basically we will be taking 6 weeks to complete the route and are looking for some lovely nice people to help us with accommodation along our way. Take a look and if you are on it (or even near any of the cities) or know someone on it get in touch Here is the webpage See the excel sheet above the map cheers, |
welcome
Hello there,
welcome to the HUBB. Just take tents and start looking for a free place to camp two hours before it gets dark. Watch the travel movies: Mondo Enduro and Terra Cerca, than you know what to do, and what not to do, what to take and what to leave at home. Enjoy Saludos desde Bogota Colombia mika |

Will I see you tomorrow, before I leave Istanbul/ the club house...?

You will have a hard time finding somebody from Iran, since therir internet is very limited and censored... but I also suggest couchsurfer, though I don't think there are many couchsurfer users in Iran or "...stan" countries.
You can relly on couchsurfer until Turkey, but after Turkey I suggest camping. |

In Talesh, just south of Astara by the caspian sea, you will find Sharroge, - the owner of the gas station in town. He speaks perfect english . I stayed at his place for a couple of days with his family - they helped me with a lot of info and tips. Great people !!!
You can find him on couchsurfing Iran aswell.., Say hallo from Ove ;-) |
Been on couchsurfer, seems to have plenty of activity for Iran. Anyway, cheers everyone for the info. We realise that camping will be our main accommodation outside of the cities/towns.
@Ove: I will be looking into Sharroge. Thanks a million and I'll pass on your greetings :) |
Thanx ! :-)
....sitting here, home by the south coast of DK, looking at the sea, weather is great....but hell, I d rather be in Iran and Turkey! :-) |
Iran
Hello again,
if you made it to Iran, than I would not worry about a place to sleep .... in 1999 I spend a month in Iran and I was invited every day at least three times to eat lunch/dinner or spend the nights in a local house/shop/petrol station/workshop/mosque .... enjoy - and yes you will find beer in Iran saludos de Suiza mika |
