West Africa
 

I want to travel from Cape Town to Europe via West Africa. If anybody has done it or can give me advice it will help a lot.

There are certainly overlanders with recent and relevant experience that they would like to share, but it helps when you are more specific: when, how, planned route, etc., and what it is exactly that you would like to pick their brains about.

I want to leave July 2014. Only know that East Africa with Egypt in the way is not for me. Hate paying bribes. West Africa seems much more friendly and I have done a bit of the east side.
Just need any info possible. South to north does not get done much.
