Assuming you're heading either for the northern Spanish ports or back through France...
Ronda and the Via Verde? Then up the western side via Salamanca. Could also stop off in the Picos de Europa. Tim |
No idea of your route, but...
Santiago de Compostella, Vigo, Cordoba, Potes in the the Picos |
hey thanks as for my route ive planned the way there but not the way back yetbut i will be going back through france

+1 for Ronda, and Salamanca which is a university town, plenty there if you're in your 20s.
But, France being your route, probably advisable to allow a few days or more to spend in the Pyrenees if you like mountain areas and mountain roads. Granada and the Sierra Nevada also get my vote. If you like quite-ish Spanish beaches, the area east of Malaga is worth a visit, the closer to Malaga (like its eastern suburbs), the fewer Brits you'll bump into. |
Things to see in Spain?
How about Barcelona v Real Madrid Champions League Semi-final !!! :innocent: |
Hi Mate, what to see in Spain?:D
OK take the other's advice about going through the sierra de Ronda - just about the only way to get clear of the south coast (Costa del Sol - which you should avoid at all costs!) Then head for Cuenca and ride through the region to its north - Molina de Aragon is a good place to set you Nav. Then, if you have serious sense of adventure leave a day or so to explore the Los Monegros region, a virtual desert betweern Zaragossa and Lleida (you won't see much there on your map - because there isn't!) nor will you find anywhere to stay, improvise! Then head for the Port de la Bonaigua as your Pyrenees crossing - no matter what your route planning takes you, you can't go far wrong if you head there. Do stop and watch the match - any bar will welcome you but be very very diplomatic about which team you support!!! Enjoy |
We rode down through the centre pf Spain a few years ago on the way to Monte Gordo. There were some lovely roads on nearly the whole route especially through Andalucia but one town I wish we had had more time to explore was the ancient town of Merida with its Roman remains. Depends what you want to experience I suppose. Great riding roads, a bit of culture on the way or both.

If you are heading for Bilbao / Santander for the ferry, ride the Soria to Logrono road - a real gem! You can tag it onto the Lleida to Zaragoza run.
