when to go?
I know it's been said a thousand times and I've done a search on 'morocco' but I need to ask when is the ideal time to travel thru morocco, (western sahara), mauritania, senegal then the gambia. Stay a week or so then slowly ride back. About six weeks in all.
September/october maybe? why? Also. Are there any 'must see/do' things to take in along the way or routes that 'have to be seen to be believed' type of thing. I do want to check out Dakar just for curiosity but any where else ??? I know this isn't the most adventurous trip but will be the equivelant of going to the moon and back for me so any help, tips will be most appreciated. Thanks alan x |
well, mate, see my message about ideas for journeys - i have been thinking of going to ride up mount kenya and back to london. like you, i'm not sure of the best/safest way to do this. i'm open to ideas, too.
btw, i don't think you should be apologetic about your choice of journey - there's 1000's of folks imagining that they'd like to do something half as expansive as what you're planning but who don't have the nerve - go for it! so, if you thing you have anything to share with me, try me on my e-mail and i'll reciprocate. regards and good luck, zenbiker [This message has been edited by zenbiker (edited 10 January 2004).] |
