Yazd - Mashad: accommodation
 
Is there any reasonable lodging between Yazd and Mashad? It is a 900+ km leg and I'm past the age of doing it on one go. The Lonely Planet indicated something in Tabas but that did not seem too inviting.

Or is is a night in a tent?

Don't know what Lonely Planet says, but two separate Iranian tourist
websites list, in Tabas:
Mahan Hotel, 2**(star), tel +98 (0) 535422 5951-4
No personal experience.
It may be the only game in town (^_^)
