Buying/selling in Malaysia & Philippines

I'm hoping to fly to Malaysia/Philippines, buying a bike, travelling around and then selling the bike on. Has anyone got any experience buying in either country? Is getting a bike registered in either country better for traveling between the two (and potentially Indonesia too)?
Thanks for your insight.

Its ALWAYS better to sell a vehicle in the same country as you bought it in. Every country has different requirements and specifications and importrules and tax laws and permanently importing a vehicle to another country than its originally build and adjusted for, imported to and paid tax and customs for is even if possible gonna be a painfully long and expensive process. Malaysia drives on the left side, Philippines on the right side for example.

Thanks for your reply. Perhaps I didn't phrase it right, but what I meant was, is there one country where it is easier to buy/sell as a foreigner? And is it easier to get a Philippines bike into Malaysia, or the other way around, or not important? As I can be flexible with starting in Malaysia, going to the Philippines then returning to Malaysia, or vice versa.

I have not any personal experience with buying a bike in the countries you have mentioned but I know foreigners have bought bikes in Malaysia relatively easy. And the same in Indonesia. Dont know about Philippines though...
