Freighting bikes through/around Myanmar?

Hey guys,

Does anyone know if it is possible to freight bikes from Thailand to India? I've heard of Bangkok to Kathmandu but wondering if there are any other options. We are trying to organise a group to cross Myanmer but trying to see if there is an alternative if we don't get enough numbers. We'll still do Myanmar but might try and do it on a local bike if we can save money by freighting.

Thoughts appreciated

Surely possible. I´ve sent by air from Chennai to Bangkok in early 2008. Could be done by sea as well, but for this short distance, I´d choose airfreight. I payed about 600 Euros total. Transport was done by Malaysia Airlines MASKargo, and the bike flew via Kuala Lumpur.

Crossing overland via Myanmar/Burma would be my #1 option nowadays, though...

Went for the overland option :) No responses from freighting agents in Dhaka.
