Long-term storage
 

Dear fellow Overlanders!
I am traveling around the world on a motorcycle since 3 years. Currently I am in Malaysia. I would like to spend the next 8 months in South East Asia and China. In October I will move to South America. As I learned recently I became very hard to get the motorcycle into some of the countries in SE Asia and almost impossible to store it there for more than 1-2 months. It presents a challenge for me since I want to spend at least 3 months in China. I have decided to dismount and explore the region by foot over the next 8 months. The issue is - where to store the bike. Friends, please help me to arrive at the most cost-effective and safe option. Some reports indicating I can store the bike in Malaysia until the expiration date of the CdP (that would be great), but I couldn't confirm this officially.

I am not familiar with the carnet CdP rules but if you are allowed to store the bike until expiration of your carnet in Malaysia I might have an option for you to store the bike depending on your location.
