MALAYSIA - Getting started
 

Exploring the idea of a trip to Malaysia and early stage of research.
1) Is it possible to hire small capacity manual bikes (125cc) I'm travelling two up and scooters are not my preference.
2) Any recommends for hire companies.
3) Is a UK bike licence acceptable or do I need additional paperwork (IDP or permission)

Your UK IDP is valid in Malaysia as it conforms to 1949 Geneva convention.

I have a contact which I rented before and that is in Penang.

I rented for 3 weeks a 160cc Honda Vario scooter though. I think he does have manual bikes for rent too.
Top bloke who takes care of his bike and trustworthy. He doesn't speak much English and he has a female staff who will reply his whatsapp messages.
