Manual 125cc hire in Malaysia
I'm trying to hire a manual 125cc motorbike in Malaysia (KL pick up/drop off) for 3 weeks in March 25.
Reason for a 125cc is that my travel insurance covers me. Finding loads of options for a twist and go or larger bikes but nothing on a 125cc. Something like a YBR would be perfect. Anyone any clues? All suggestions appreciated Nigel |

125 is the perfect size for an automatic scooter. It's a far more practical choice for local roads, lots of luggage storage etc. And available for rent everywhere in Malaysia for peanuts. :scooter:
I can't see any reason why you would want a YBR over a scooter in Malaysia, other than ego. EDIT: This is Kev. He was a lovely companion riding all around Langkawi, hills and everything. Got delivered directly to my guesthouse. Cost me about the price of a coffee in rental and gas for three days. |
Hi and thanks very much for your reply.
There are two of us on the bike and some luggage and sometimes we like to do longer days riding. From my experience in Vietnam, Thailand and India I have found the suspension and luggage holding a bit better on a bike like a YBR because you can put some panniers on it and a bag on a rack. But if this is not possible then we will use a scooter. Your advice is appreciated Many thanks Nigel |
