Myanmar

Hi, I´m planning a RTW and I´m trying to figure out how to cross Myanmar. I have already checked (I think) most of the thread about and I´d like to ask just one thing

As far as you know witch are the companies option to provide the service of the guide tour?

I have found two:

Indochina Tours

Round Trips Myanmar Indulge : Myanmar Expert Travel and Tours Co., Ltd.

Thanks

Mate check out Zack at Mandalay Motorbikes.
Im planning a trip through Myanmar and he was quite useful for advice.
He has a map that has the areas you can and can not go into.

Mandalay Motorbike Rental and Tours

Also, you do not need a guide if you want to attempt it by yourself. You need a permit from the MTT office in mandalay.
Or i have read that you can go to Seven Diamonds Express or something like that and they can get the same process done cheaper.

Hope that is useful.

I think the information james is refering to is more about touring IN Myanmar. If you want to cross the country overland by own transport, you need a guide. Most overlanders use Burma Senses or Gulliver Travels. The price will be around 1000 usd depending on group size and how many days (9-15 days).

I´ll be crossing from India to Thailand the last week of july-first of august.
and because I know I have to adapt myself to the groups that each company gather I would want to make sure that I am knoking every posible door.
