Shipping out of Cambodia?
 

I am looking for a way to get my bike from Cambodia to Vladivostok sometime in June 2017 to continue my trip. Does anyone know some good ocean or air transport agencies that could help with arranging this?

I’ve been doing some research and so far I have learned:

- Shipping out of Bangkok will probably not be an option because of the new Thailand rules for foreign vehicles requiring guides and lots of paperwork
- Air freight would probably require flying to South Korea and then taking a ferry to Vladivostok as the airport in Vlad can not take the wide-body aircraft needed for motorbike shipment
- The guy to contact in Vladivostok for importing is Yuri Melnikov

So far, I've contacted the following people to get quotes for sea shipping, but am still waiting to hear back:

- Lim Seang at SOPHAL EXIM AND TRANSPORTATION from a post by Sue White
- Sam Pohlina at ECU WORLDWIDE CAMBODIA

If anyone knows someone who does air cargo out of Cambodia, I would like to compare the cost.

In danger of sounding like a broken record (and also, honestly I'm not on any sort of commission...) - but I was just talking to my friendly Swiss shipping guy about shipping a 4x4 out of Vladivostok, and he says they do vehicles in/out of there 'almost daily'. I've shipped down West Africa and to the UK from Tanzania with him, an he seems to have contacts everywhere. He does an 'all in, guaranteed no extras' service, which may not be what you're looking for, and may not be so important out there as it is in Africa...but he's worth speaking to...
