My favorite motel is the San Ran

It is an older motel, with 10 rooms, all with fridge and microwave. A supermarket is across the street.
Modest restaurants are an easy walk.
You can park at the door, and the resident owners are bike friendly.
There is also a MICROTEL chain motel a few doors away, multi-story, but still bike accomodating.
There are several camping facilities in the area, as well as a motorcycle 'resort', with modest rooms.

This is the PREMIER sportbike destination in the southeast U.S. Expect a LOT of bike traffic on summer weekends.
Worth a stopover....great roads!
