Not much budget accommodation here. Regular hotels start at 150,000Gs per night


I stayed at Tia Nancy, Arturo Garcete y Cruz Del Chaco. Approx 2km from town and next to bus station. It has secure parking, the rooms are basic with private bathrooms and electric showers.



50,000 per person. No internet, breakfast not included.



I've also stayed at a hotel on Fernandez (I forgot to note the name!). It's next door to Hotel Austria and on the same road as Hotel Munich which are in most guide books.



80,000 per person. Large basic bedrooms with air conditioning. Private bathroom with electric shower. Secure parking.


Across the road from their is Hotel Carribean which may be another budget option but I didn't find out the price of rooms.

Asuncion


The only hostel in Paraguay is the Black Cat Hostel. There's space to park one motorcycle in the reception area. THey have a ramp to allow you to ride up the front steps. The hostel is over-priced at $14USD or 70,000Gs a night but they do at least allow you to park a motorcycle there. They state they have Wifi internet access but it too slow to be functional. The owners are lovely people and are extremely helpful.
