8º Curva de Rio Off-Road - Cambará do Sul/Brazil

I'm here to give you another RR from a trip made near Cambará do Sul, where we have a lot of canions here in Brazil. Take a look... |
Me and my wife woke up at 5:00 in the morning to put the baggage on the bike to start the trip, at 5:30 we we're riding, we combine to meet our friend Frédi from Treze Tílias/SC, that would waiting us in the clover of the Herval D'Oeste/SC city.
We arrive at 6:15 and Frédi was waiting us, we ride directly to São José do Cerrito/SC, to drink a coffe and refuel de bikes (I don't, because they don't accepted checks and the VISA machine wasn't working). We went and stop again in Bom Jardim da Serra/SC, the city where we decide to start the off-road. After it, we decide to change the route and make a visit to the Serra do Rio do Rastro. We come back to Bom Jardim da Serra/SC, when we started the off road trip, in the beggining a bad road, but after, coming to be better after the border with Rio Grande do Sul State, changing until the destiny with good and bad roads.
We saw that many residents set fire on the grass, leting the air so smoky, often difficulting breathing. Probably were doing it to renew the grass. It has too many small rivers, with bridges, and a place beside it to pass, I confess I wanter to pass several times, but, in function of time, I went up of the bridges. There are many waterfalls too, beautiful places to pass in the "gaucho" State, I hope you'll go one day. And then, starts the second day...
We leave the camping at 9:00AM, first we went to the gas station in Cambará do Sul/RS to fill the tanks, then we went to the Parque Nacional da Serra Geral. We rode for a terryble road during 30 minutes, and arrive at a a entrance for the Park where IBAMA (organ of forest management in Brazil), then, we rode for more 1.000 meters and arrive at a "park lot", to leave the bikes and walk for 1.500 meters to see the first canyon and a big waterfall, and see to, the Secret Stone (Pedra do Segredo). We visit this em went to the second park lot, where we would visit the Canyon Fortaleza. Finished that visit, we went to que Parque Nacional Aparados da Serra, onde fomos conhecer o Canyon Itaimbezinho. We stayed there until 3:00 PM and come back home, passing in the cities of Bom Jesus/RS, Vacaria/RS, Piratuba/SC e Jaborá/SC, and Frédi went for Treze Tílias/SC.
