Any Argentine brands you would even consider?
Been a few years since last on here (a few thousand KMs through Chile back then, and a thread on how to buy a bike there for non-Spanish speakers that I hoped helped a few riders), and now living in Buenos Aires for a few years...
Am considering getting a cheap runabout here, not for any big adventures, maybe a few hours outside the city at most, and outside of the obvious foreign brands, I was wondering if there was any Argentina brand even worth considering? Or would a used foreign brand be far and away the better option? Cheers. |
NX400 or XR250 Hondas

The Hondas are not Argentine brands, but manufactured in Brazil - a Mercosur country and therefore do not suffer the import taxes of other foreign brands. Last I heard smaller Hondas were being manufactured in Argentina.
Photo is rosa del desierto with her loaded NX400 Honda Falcon on the coast of Peru. I have one too and we have ridden 55,000 K through 8 South American countries with NO problems other than clutch/chain/tire replacements and regular maintenance. xfiltrate Eat, Drink and Buy Locally www.xfiltrate.com |
