Anyone know a good bike mehanic in Quito
Hey everyone,
I'm looking for a good, reliable, trustworthy mechanic in Quito.I just bought a used klr and want to give it a thorough once over before heading into bolivia, peru, etc.. I'd ideally like to find someone that speaks a bit of English as my Spanish isn't great. Thanks, cheers. Jay |
There was a really good German guy at a place called Speedy, next to a roundabout quite near the airport. Sorry don't have an address.
Didn't have much faith in the Kawa dealer as they couldn't manage to get the front sprocket bolt off a KLR. The German chap had it off in seconds and managed to produce an air filter after having no luck at the Kawa dealer. http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/hub...-ecuador-19639 |

Clinica de Motos
On my way down to Ushuaia, I had work done at the Clinica de Motos. I could not have been happier with the work and the service I received. I stopped on the way back, and had the same experience. For the work that was done, I could not believe how little I was charged. A great experience. :thumbup1:254-2181/246-2130

Here is a shop that I recommend in Cuenca.
Cuenca- Esteban Delgado- Motores y fresnos Gonzalez Suarez 1 - 43 y Huayna-Capac Tel: 286 15 99 - 099773779 Email: degadoe@cue.satnet.net Cuenca - Ecuador It´s near the airport but at walking distance from the town centre. Nice place, they speak good english, very helpful. It is mainly a Harley Davidson dealer but they are as likely to work on big BMWs (We saw a 1200GS there when we went to buy oil for our bikes.) |
