Anyone Peru riding?
 

Hi,

I'm settling down in the region of Arequipa - Peru for a bit more than a year for work.
First, I need to find a bike. It doesn't seem that easy as I'm looking for something a bit more powerful a robust than those chinese 250cc they have here.... (any dealer to recomand?) but I'm also looking for mates to share some road strips!

Anyone around?

Hi Francois,

There is at least one rental agency in Arequipa, search 'Peru Motors' that might get you at least a quick fix of two wheels.

You will probably need to get a 'carnet' (a local ID) to purchase a bike in your own name.

If you make it to Cusco (go via Nazca and Ruta 26) drop in for a pint at the Norton Rats, we're on the corner of the Plaza de Armas and Santa Calina Angosta.

Ah, I see. I passed through in August. Now in French Guiana.
