Availibility of Parts in Southern Chile & Argentina
Hello all,
Anyone whose done that route know how hard it is sourcing parts i.e. stuff like sprockets and chains down south? Will have to do my chainset at some point and already a bit overloaded carrying next set of tires so would preferably buy later. Anyone have any experiences to share? Cheers! Rtw |

C&S I have always gambled on, and fortunately they have only needed replacing in the USA and Spain. But I have always worked on the theory that there will be something somewhere in a large enough town. Or I have always just been lucky :-) |

I definitely worry too much!

It should be easy enough in the capitals even if you do have to order in advance.
That being said. Looked after a quality steel chain and sprocket set should easily do over 20,000 miles. There's not that many people doing that sort of mileage on their SA trips. |

Mine lasted 22,000, but that was North/Central and South :-) |
