Bike shop Arica / Iquique Chile

Tried a search first, and no community up here.
Anyone know of a m/c shop I could get a tyre sent to up here.
Have a contact in Santiago I hope may be able to source a tyre there and get sent up for us.
Would be helpful if we could have a point of contact here.
Failed to find a tyre in Antofagasta or Calama, getting desparate or our planned leg through a little of Boliva and Peru is going out the window.
Most grateful as ever, Chau, Fritz

Try the Zona Franca (ZOFRA) in Iquique, its at the north end of town. I've bought tyres there before.

There is another Zona Franca just south of Tacna thats a good bet.

Or..try calling Tonino Motos in La Serena. They had a good range in stock & could probably sent them to you on the next bus.

Ta Bob, our friend is going to buy a tyre (hopefully) but I´m guessing getting it to us will be the problem. If there was a bike shop in Arica I thought I might be able to get it sent there. May be able to get it sent to us here in San Ped. Any options welcomed.

Hi Fritz - Please post any info about how you got a tire. I´m in the same boat and will be looking in Iquique. www.MX.cl in Santiago has Metzlers and will probably ship. At least I hope so if I´m unable to get one in Iquique.

A very nice man we met on the road (ex BM owner) has rung round on our behalf in Santaigo and recons to get a tyre and tube for 90,000 with 7,000 shipping from Satiago to the bus terminal in Arica.
If you find a tyre, maybe an option.
You´re not in San Ped are you ? Heard somone on a bike was here with similar probs but not met as yet.

Two finger. If you get stuck you could maybe contact teh Satiago community. Tur Bus will take the tyre in 36hrs for about 8,000, need name and passport number to send and collect at terminal

Hi, any news about tyre shops in Iquique or maybe Calama? We are in Iquique now looking for ktm990adv tyres...a big deal! No tyres in Arica and no tyres in Iquique zofri (if you need only off road wheels or street wheels they have them).
I'm looking for on/off 150/70/18 and 90/90/21. We have Pirelli mt90 now, but heidenau k60 scout will be ok... or something else...

In Arica there is only one shop with tires and they are not super cheap. It is up the hill near the Hospital. In Iquique There is one main guy and the others buy from him. located in the free zone. I waited till i got to Santiago for a rear tire on my Victory and it was $20 cheaper there than the free zone. Calle Lira is full of bike shops.
