Bolívia "death road"
 

Hi.

I have one extra day in La Paz and i'm thinking of geting a normal rental car and do the old road to Coroico.

Is this feasable by 2×4?

You could do it on a scooter.

The chase vehicles for the mountain bikers include minivans. Go down not up like they do. Could make for a long day in a car though

Its a gravel road, you could do it in a low rider if you went slowly.

The road is well maintained and in good condition (quite flat gravels, no mud). Any vehicle should pass.
Not sure it's really interesting in a car though. Better going on 2 wheels in my opinion. The road is not dangerous and accessible to any rider.
