Bolivia - Danger, riots etc - June 2005
 

A Warning
Any one on there way to Bolivia at the moment
best give it a miss until the troubles calm down, Most roads are blockaded, most fual stations are dry. I arrived in La Paz 6 days ago and i`ve been stuck in my hotel for much of that.There is rioting and pich battles between loacl indians and the police, the police are armed with teargas and rubber bullets and the indians throw sticks of dynomite,we lost most of the window from the front of our hotel after one battle, at the moment the airport is closed. From the local news most of the country has been closed down by srikes and blockades.
This is a great country to travel in but not at the moment. I hope this helps if your heading this way. Skip.
