[Bolivia] Road to Rurrenrabaque
Hi,
I wanted to know how is the road to Rurrenrabaque. To ask precisely: what about river crossings? I will be there in about three weeks - dec/jan. I am fully loaded and if it is just 20 cm deep, no problem, but I could have troubles with deeper crossings. Let me know what you know about it. Cheers Michal |
all bridges as far as i recall
hey michal,
great that you're going down that road. too few do it! it was a mixture of very wet with deep mud and very wet with deep bulldust when we went in about april. but no deep crossings. have a look here: Out for a spin: Rurrenabaque by road, thoughts on poverty, and a big, blue Volvo. look out for the changes from 'keep right' to 'keep left'! enjoy, andrew. |
Thank you!
So we will ask around for the actual info about the weather. We will try to take the road. Your bike looks not less loaded than mine :) In fact, I stumbled upon your blog in the past by googling some other information. The world is small, the motorcycle world is even smaller. What is your next journey? Cheers! Michal |
Hi!
I wanted to reply to my own question. I covered the route in the end of january. It could by wet, dusty, muddy etc, but it is a great road to go. Scenery changes rapidly. No water crossings at all, so anyone can go there. There are so many other more difficult wet season roads in Bolivia... Enjoy! Michal |
