Bolivian registered bike documents for bordercrossing
Hey everyone,
Information required :) I am an austrian woman and bought a bike in Bolivia to travel up to Colombia. Now I got two informations which I wanna have opinions to (because I made the experience that information given by bolivians are similar to fairyrales): 1. Someone told me I need to get an extra permit in la paz to be allowed to leave the country with the bike (appart from the paperwork on the border). 2. Someone told me it will be a problem to enter from one foreign country (Peru in my case) to a second foreign country (Ecuador) Why? I don't know... 3. Is there a limit how long the bike is allowed to stay outside Bolivia (like the 6 months they have in Chile) Thanks for your help in advance! Ciao Silvia Gesendet von meinem Y635-L21 mit Tapatalk |

OK, I could be wrong, but i believe that it should not be so difficult then. Maybe try contact someone who rents/sells them in Bolivia ? If you search around here there is mention of someone called Tomas who does this. Ask him. |
O.k. thanks!
I met a motocyclist here in La Paz who told me to go to the "aduana Nacional" in calle 20 octubre here, they sent me to the "aduana internal" at the airport and they said I have to do it at the border... thats what I am going to do now and hope they don't send me back..
