If you buy something like a Honda XR150 I imagine you will be able to sell it back fairly quickly. Best option is just to arrive and ask around. There are numerous dealerships in Bogota. It's full of motos!

AKT moto?

apparently AKT is getting very popular in Colombia.I guess is china made parts assembled there.anyone had first experience with these ?a 180 cc model should work (I do not expect anything extraordinary, but may do the job for 6/7 weeks ?c?

AKT has a 250 the is the same as the RX-3 bike that is sold in the US. $2000 new. Pulsar has a new Adventure Sport bike as well in that price range.

I am aware of the "adventure" 250.heavier , lots of plastic fairing and is twice the price of 180cc.in my opininon not worth to spend extra.
but thanks for info :thumbup1:

Bike for sale in Bogota

Hello

I am planning on being in Bogota in the next week or two. In Quito now. I have an AKT 250 that I bought in Colombia and will be selling it when I arrive. I've put 7000km on it since April with no problems. Dropped it in a river crossing once but the side bars did their job and the bike remained unscathed. Easy to pick up by yourself. Will have around 13,000km on it by the time I'm finished. The thing held up awesome through thick and thin. I will only be asking $2600 US for it. Comes with all the tools you need, a box, helmet, and probably a bunch of other useful things. Also has off road lights installed although one of them is burnt out. New brakes, well maintained, oil changed regularly. I could tell you everything you need to know about traveling with the bike too, taking care of it, climbing at altitude, and getting the most out of it.

Peace!

Matt
