Buying a foreign-plated bike in Peru?
Hey everyone,
I've searched and only found Columbian info on foreign plates, not Peruvian. There's a serious temptation to buy a bike with Euro plates down here in Peru. However, I've read that in order to transfer it to Peruvian plates it has to be under 2 years old (doh) Is there any way to just keep the Euro plates and just insure it here? What are my legal options for Euro plates in Peru? Thanks |
Buying EU bike
Well,
if you buy a EU bike. And transfer the ownership. That is something for the regulation of the country where the bike is registered. And the requirements they have. (Address?) You have to check each EU country. Peru has nothing to do with this. Another example is US bikes. Which you can buy in SA. And get help to transfer the ownership in US. So you become the owner of the bike. Still registered in US. |
