Buying in Chile/Argentina
 

Hi there,

I am currently planning a 3-6 month SA trip and had planned to fly to argentina from australia and buy a bike there to explore SA with, upon reading the discussion threads it appears that buying in chile is less problematic.
I am looking for a bike in the US2-3K range, can anyone reccomend any bike dealers in santiago,(or nearby) with a decent range of secondhand bikes, (xt600,s klr650's etc) in this price range.
Do you think that the dealers would be helpfull in arranging the neccesary paperwork required for a foreigner to have the bike in their name so that I could leave chile, or would I have to make my own arrangements for this

Why don´t you try to buy a parked foreigner bike?Maybe easyer to do the paperwork in the uk? Just wondering.
