Buying motorbike in South-America
 

Hello guys, I need some help please.

I want to do a journey round the world. One big station is South-America. My idear is to travel the whole continent with a motorbike.

Is it a good idear to buy the motorbike in South-America ( for exampel Argentina or chile) and after my trip to sell it to some one else. How looks like about the dokuments and papiers. I am from Austria (europe). So it is possible?

Its a large broad topic. best to start by doing some reading.
I my self after doing some reading have decided to buy my bike in Canada and drive it down.

Just one caution. Advice used to be if you buy an Argentinian vehicle in Argentina, you will not be able to drive it out of Argentina.

Buying from another foreigner has all sorts of traps that need to be addressed but it can be done.
