Chile border closed
 

We have just returned from the border at San Sebastian in TDF only to be told that it closed at 8:00am this morning for the next 24 to 48 hours. Apparently this may be country wide. We have heard that the closure is due to a labour dispute (union). Right now there is no way off of TDF.

Chilean customs still striking
 

We came back from Peru into Chile a week or so ago and had a 3 hr wait to get through customs... I think they were on a "go slow". Also heard in San Pedro de Atacama on Monday that customs there was being closed for 2 - 3 days.

Our bikes arrive in Valparaiso in the next day or two, so I don't know how it's going to affect us getting them in. :(

Dunno if anyone has any more information on what's going on? We're just hearing things through the grapevine at the moment.
