Chile - are the laws different for buying a car than a motorcycle?
 

Hey folks!

I've gone down the Chile motorcycle purchase route a few years back (hopefully my "how to" buy a motorycle in Chile thread has helped a few here), so all over that. But someone elseswhere commented that buying a car in Chile as a tourist required you to return to Chile every 3 to 6 months with the car, rather than being able to drive it with the same freedom as a motorcycle.

Wondering if this is true or not?
