I arrived in Bogata Nov. 3, 2001 and have my bike and ready to ride around, heard all the warnings etc. Does anybody have any current reliable info on riding to Cali then onto Ecuador?

Yep... I wanted to go through Colombia as well, but after reading about what happened I will go trhough the amazone-basin to venezuela instead.
It's strange how you always think... ohhh, it's not so bad... until some one who's name you know really get's into trouble.
