From Cusco into Brazil in early March??
By the time we drive from Quito back down to Cusco it will be late February, early March.
One option for this trip is to end up in Brasilia where we have an offer of long-term storage of our camper. while we head off elsewhere for 6 months or so. Question is, is it feasible or sensible to drive from Cusco into Brazil and head around the top of Bolivia via Porto Velho at that time of the year, or would it be smarter to go through Bolivia along highway 4 east to Corumba sticking to the bitumen as needed. Vehicle is a F350 4 x 4 7.3L Diesel auto with heavy camper on the back. Dually unfortunately. Supplementary question - anyone know if it is possible for an Australian to get a Brazil visa in Lima, Cusco or La Paz. We previously got one at Iguazu, but don't want to go into Argentina this trip |
Hi!
Cusco - Puerto Maldonado - Inapari - Brasileia - Rio Branco - Porto Velho road is good tarmac. http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/hub...o-brazil-75655 |

Does anyone know if the Venezuela / Brazil route of Caracas - Boa Vista - Manaus route is paved? I'm also looking for ways to get south sans Panamericana. However, that's a long stretch in rainy season if indeed it is not.

Thanks Tarmo
