Diesel Prices in South America
 

Can anyone confirm diesel prices in South America... google searches turn up thousands of pages the wonders of Brazilian bio-diesel but no prices.

Heading to Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Peru starting in Feb 07.

In Argentina it's right around AR$ 1.50 x liter (US$ 0.50) or about US$ 1.80 x gallon.

Diesel in Peru is 11 Sols/ gal, 2.98 Sols/ litre, $3.5/ gal,$0.9/litr and it's 3.21Sols/ $. Just filling in expenses!

Diesel in Brasil depends on where you are.. Very from about Brl 1,70 / litre Like around Sao Paulo) to Brl 2,20 / litre in other places ( US$1 = apr.Brl 2,15).

Chile (May 2006 ) between P$ 420 - P$ 550 / ltr
(US$1 = P$ 580 )

Bolivia everywhere the same price (June2006)
B$ 3,70 / ltr
US$ 1 = B$ 8,00

In Argentina fuel prices in Patagonia are subsidised, around 25% cheaper than the price mentioned above
