entering peru
Hey guys
Does anyone know if they make a photocopy of your title documents when you enter peru. I know they do for Bolivia but cannot rmeber if they did likewise when i rentered peru? Random question i know but hope you can help“ DUncan |
They made a copy of my passport and V5 (title) when I entered Peru. They also kept me wating and made me do some explaining because I said I was from "Inglaterra" and my passport said "United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland". Not until they made me visit every official in the border post and fill in a form that was sold by the girl behind the counter of the cafe behind the "Prohibito El Paso" sign of course.
[eta] I think it all depends on the border post and the official in question as to much hassle it's going to be. SA borders are generally quite easy, the longest I've had to wait is a couple of hours and that was just because the customs officer was late to work. |
thanks alot man - just having a few concerns about leaving. cheers though.

Ecuador
Dude,
Not sure what direction you are going in but we had to provide a set of photocopies when entering Ecuador, crossed at San Ignacia / Las Balzas (Zumba). If you are heading north I would recommend you drop in to your local Zerox expert and take a bunch of copies of your passport, driving licence and bike registration.
