Filling Stations Paso Agua Negra Chile-Argentina
Hi,
can anybody tell me which cruising radius I need for Paso Agua Negra (Chile-Argentina), i.e. what is the max distance between two filling stations on the way? Or asking the other way round, where is the last and where the first filling station in either country? I can go some 300 km and wondering if I need an extra can. Also wondering whether or not credit card payment is possible.. maybe somebody tried already? Best regards Winfried |

Here a link to pictures and little map to your desired trip. One advice:if your tank is smal or regular take a gas can with you.Just for security. Cash is the best on those regions where only smal gas stations are. http://www.viajeros.freeservers.com/Pag13.htm Good luck KH ------------------ http://viento-de-ripio.blogspot.com/ [This message has been edited by BCK_973 (edited 26 January 2006).] |
Hi,
in case anybody else has the same questions: First/last fuel in Chile: Vicuña (Shell and Copec), in Argentia: Las Flores (ACA). Distance 270 km - mostly gravel The pass is quite easy-going (even though I'm not a fan of gravel) and has some beautiful coloured rocks (and a lake) on the way (mostly Chilean side). Best regards Winne |
Good campsite near Vicuna as well, even has a pool.
Follow the signs out of town for the Marmaluka Observatory, its on the right about 1km before you get there, about 8km from town. ------------------ Last seen in S.America, missing presumed fed. http://www.smellybiker.com |

Friends,
We passed on the Paso del Agua Negra last week, and it's very beautiful. Look at the pictures in our website. A hug, |
