Help!- GS1150 Tyres in Puerto Madryn, Patagonia
 

Hola,

I´ve had my first puncture of the trip, though technically it is actually a previous repair which has now failed rather than a puncture. We are in the Valdez Peninsula and I have done a repair which should hopefully get me to Puerto Madryn.

Can anyone let me know where I can get a rear Tourance (or anything) for a BMW R1150GS in Puerto Madryn.

Javier at Dakar is sending me some tyres down to Rio Gallegos but will now need something sooner which is a pain.

Any help much appreciated!

There's a community in Pto Madryn, the guy who runs it is called Julio IIRC. The local bike shop, Gato Moto, will sort you out with a tyre. You can have anything you want, as long as it's an MT60. There's also a very helpful local biker called Miguel (who does a mean Asado) who Gato can put you in touch with.
