HELP! Need fuel tank and radiator for KLR 650

My friend and I are riding KLR's to Argentina from San Francisco. We are currently in Ibague Colombia (btwn Bogota and Cali) after horrible accident that left my friend on a cane with a nasty bruised leg. Thank God he will heal.
The bike, however, will need a new GAS TANK and a new RADIATOR AND FAN ASSEMBLY.
Can anyone give us any info on where to find these parts down here without being trapped for weeks at a time?

Thank you all very much.

You've probably thought of this already, but as I recall there was no place between Ibague and Ecuador border likely to have any KLR stuff. You may want to hitch/bus back to Bogota where you'll have a better chance.

Quito had a nice shop where I had some work done on mine. Good luck!!--Porter

Just saw on ebay someone selling gas tank. Maybe they could ship to Colombia. Good luck--Porter

I don't know if this helps but if shipping from the U.S. is an option and you need help let me know. I could have it express shipped. Don't know about customs issues, though. Email me if you want to work out the details.

thanks motodriver and jsherm. your advice/offers are very kind indeed.

we have talked to Dual Star and Arrowhead Motosports. they basically dont sell radiators anymore (either of them) and the plastic gas tanks they would otherwise sell have been leaking lately so "no go".

fortunately as you all may know the mechanics here are quite skilled at fixing everything that could possibly go wrong for very little money. the only problem (from past experiences) is we dont know how long the repairs will last. even tho my buddys tank looks like a crushed beer can and is leaking fuel im sure the shop we found will fix it to some operable degree (and probly paint flames on it as well).

the radiatior looks only to be bent at the mounts. we found a radiator shop as well who will likely put it all back in place for us very soon.

the only problem now is my friends foot which is taking its sweet time to heal.

thanks very much again. am quite grateful.
