help needed in Bolivia, Uyuni
 

looking for help and/or advice.
My brother has been struck down with a mystery illness in Uyuni and needs to get his bike home and is having real problems with his very limited Spanish,is there anyone on here that can help or provide English speaking contact down that way that could help?

This is old info, but when I was there, there was a tourist info office in Uyuni, which would be a good place to start. The tour companies that do tours on the salt would likely have someone who speaks English. There is train service to Uyuni, that he may be able to get the bike out to a larger city on. Where is home?


Years ago, there was a pizza place there run by an American guy, Minuteman Pizza, don't know if he is still there.

The managers name is Chris (American) and he is married to Suzie, and together they run the hotel and pizza restaurant. They are both wonderful people and host many of the overland groups that pass through Uyuni. I'm sure they will be able to point you in the right direction.
