How can i get from Colombia to Brazil without going through Venezuela?
Hi All,
I have decided that maybe Venezuela isn't so safe right now to travel (through i would love to hear the experiences of anyone who went there recently) so I am trying to figure out how to get me and my motorcycle from Colombia to Brazil somehow. Theoretically, it looks like i could take a boat from Leticia down the Amazon river... only problem is that there is no overland route from Leticia to the rest of Colombia. Perhaps there is a way to take a boat over the ocean to Brazil? I've already been to Ecuador and Peru and would like to avoid back-tracking. Would love to hear any solutions you might have, even if they are a little unusual. Thanks! |
I looked at the options me too. I found two options. I read someone flew his motorcycle from Bogota to Letica I'm quite sure I read that here.
The other one is going through Ecuador down crossing to peru on one or more very samall boats to reach the boundaries of Colombia, Peru and Brazil and catch a big boat down the Amazon. horizonsunlimited.com/hubb/route-planning/crossing-the-amazon-pacific-atlantic-83923e https://jamminglobal.com/category/amazon https://www.horizonsunlimited.com/hu...tos-boat-87511 |
Good news. Apare.ntly you can fly your bike from Letica to Bogota
From Leticia is is VERY cheap to send bikes by air to Bogota so that is what we ended up doing. 2000 Colombian pesos per kilo. https://advrider.com/f/threads/ecuad...#post-29931463 |
