Insurance: Ecuador into Peru on Pan Am
 

2 days ago I exited Ecuador and entered Peru. Aside from the fact that the Ecuadorian Customs is 6 miles before the border and on the wrong side of the road there is a problem with the obligatory insurance for Peru.

The desk that supplies the insurance at the border is (was) closed. I was told by Peruvian customs that I could get it in Tumbes, 25km inside Peru.

I sought out an office but the first one I found would only give me a years cover. I eventually found one at:

S 3 33' 55.5" W 80 27' 16.0"

Francisco Navarette J/W Salaverry, Tubes, Peru.

A months insurance was $35 or 96 Soles.
