Hello, I am looking to visit South America after the New Year and would love to find a small motorbike or scooter rental. Does anyone know where I may be able to find one from a website that is current. Seems as if the only things available are larger bikes that are expensive. I am looking for something much more "local". Thanks for any input!

Hi,

Don't know where you're going exactly but if you're in Region XI in Chile I'd thoroughly recommend Motorent Adventure in Coyhaique Moto Rent Adventure | I got absolutely outstanding service and help from them.

They do everything from rentals to fully supported tours. Their smallest bikes are Tenere XT660Zs though, so possibly bigger than you were looking for.

I think I saw another outfitter in Southern Argentina who rented out some smaller Hondas but can't remember where they were now, sorry.

A Google search for "alquiler de motos en chile" comes up with several options on Google maps. Still not "cheap" for what you get but there are several options for small bikes and scooters in Santiago and Valparaiso.
